Triazine Crosslinking in FFKM Systems: Superior Performance in Extreme Environments

Posted by Tyson Railey on

Perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) are the pinnacle of elastomeric performance, used in the most extreme chemical, thermal, and vacuum environments—such as semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, and aggressive chemical processing. The crosslinking chemistry used in FFKM plays a crucial role in unlocking its full potential. Historically, peroxide curing has been employed for its relative ease of use, but it presents limitations that become more pronounced under harsh service conditions. Triazine-based crosslinking systems are necessary to reach the pinnacle of FFKM performance.
